What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy?

What is it?

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a safe effective approach through which people, just like you, can experience powerful, positive and lasting change.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a flexible approach and uses techniques from Hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT, Solution Focussed Therapy, Gestalt and Positive Psychology.

This  makes it more possible to adapt the approach to you as an individual and help you make the changes you want.

Tailor made.

Cognitive hypnotherapy is tailor made to you and based on how you experience life and its challenges.

It works with the unconscious mind to find the root of difficulties that impact behaviours, and how we feel about ourselves, our relationships and our world.

This means that the root of the issue can be treated, meaning there is greater potential for a lasting solution.

Evidence based

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is evidence based.

Research shows that in the treatment of anxiety and depression 71% of clients reported improvements through this approach, whereas only 42% reported improvements through other approaches such as CBT.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy can be a really positive, powerful and life changing approach that means you can move towards the life you want through a therapy that is tailored to your needs.

Hypnosis.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy believes that trance is an everyday naturally occurring state, for example, when you suspend your disbelief watching a film, or are lost in thought, or how time seems to drag in a boring meeting and speed up when you're having fun.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy uses this everyday state to work with the unconscious mind to move you towards what you want.
Everyone is different, but many clients report meaningful change after only a few sessions.

What are sessions like?

We are all different, and all sessions are unique and bespoke. However you as the client are always in control.

By simply closing your eyes and listening to my voice your unconscious mind can be guided, by you, to heal gently and powerfully, making  beneficial changes in a relaxed and focussed way.

Many clients report finding sessions relaxing, and find they gain new insight into long held ways of being, long held beliefs and long held patterns of behaviour. This can lead to lasting change.
